So tempted to do a response video, hahaha! “Is this vegan?”

Kreayshawn – Gucci Gucci
This song has been resounding in my head ever since I heard it. When I play it I have to put it on repeat until I get interrupted. So addictive, so infectious.
Paper roses template
This stunning paper rose template was posted last week by Ellinée. Such a simple but beautiful effect and you can make these up months in advance of your event.
Things are starting to move!
Eeek! So this week I designed, printed and prepared our engagement / save the date announcements. That’s right, we doubled up – I’ve been reading up on etiquette and no one said that was a bad thing!
The pic above shows the initial illustration by Taynee Tinsley (more on Taynee soon), the rounded corner punch and the final announcement in a little bright pink envelope ready to be addressed.
I designed the announcement myself, typeset it and added the beautiful illustrations that Taynee has done for us. We just printed them on to white card stock to keep the costs low and the look classic. Punched the corners to be rounded and inserted them into brightly coloured envelopes from Paperchase. I wanted simple, fun, relaxed but chic.
These are due to be sent out this week. I’m just waiting for the registrar to confirm the date then IT WILL BE OFFICIAL!
We’re off to Berlin for a long weekend today so I’m hoping to catch some inspiration from the European bridal and party scene while I’m there. Auf wiedersehen!
She & Him – In the Sun
I’ve been a big fan of Zooey Deschanel since I saw Tin Man a few years ago. I’m absolutely loving New Girl which has recently started in the UK on channel 4 and Zooey’s band with the gorgeous M Ward, She & Him is a huge favourite of mine. I’m so glad I found their Christmas album just in time for the festive period.
This is a single from their second album. Here’s hoping for a new album soon!
St. Valentine’s day printable
I stumbled across this beautiful freebie yesterday on How About Orange, you can download the card, coupon and a matching patterned sheet at Love vs Design. Use the patterned sheet to create an insert for the envelope, just like the one pictured – such a cute detail to make your Valentine feel extra special.
Neon florals
I’m loving all the neons that I’ve spotted on various wedding blogs recently, just like the weddings invitations I posted last week, these fun flowers dipped in neon paint via Utterly Engaged are fantastic. I don’t think I’d use neons for my actual wedding day, they’re just not me, but they may sneak in somewhere along the way
Sh*t brides say…
Hahahahahahahahahaha… so true, via OMG I’m getting married.
Sugar Minott – Good Thing Going
This is one of Andy and mine’s absolute favourites.
Offbeat wedding checklist
I’ve just finished reading the Offbeat Bride by Ariel Meadow Stallings which is the story of her own offbeat wedding (think rave theme, hula hoops and camping guests) with added tips from a plethora of brides. The offbeat wedding checklist is a freebie that compliments the book and is great resource for any bride who thinks a little differently.
